This piece is from Jessica's 'Edith Mary Baldwin' collection and inspired by a photograph that Jessica found behind a framed Victorian baptismal card when she went about her sourcing in Portobello one day.
The photograph shows Edith standing at the bottom of a beautiful rose walled garden. Jessica has used the jewellery within the collection to represent Edith's playing in the garden. The compass is a representation of Edith's childish play towards the bottom of the garden.
This sterling silver, hand-stamped wax seal signet ring has gold plating on the compass symbol to enhance the design and is grain set with semi-precious stones at the poles that spell L.O.V.E.
L - Lapis Lazuli
O - Opal
V - Vermeil (Garnet)
E - Emerald
Within the inside surface of the ring shank, is a decorative floral embossing.
